What I Wore | Day In, Day Out

Everyday Outfit, Easy outfit

WhatIWore: A few weeks ago, What I Wore hit it’s seventh birthday. I didn’t make a big deal of it online, but I did go back and look at some of the early outfits and thought about how my goals have changed since then. In a way, they’ve come full circle. It’s just about getting dressed, day in, day out. Then I was a 25 year old, working in Manhattan, living in Brooklyn and went for every color of the vintage rainbow. These days I still love my collection of vintage pieces, but I’m a lot more likely to go for neutral tones and practical everyday pieces. And I’m a married mom of one living in the Midwest. That said, I think it’s absolutely possible to be stylish in your own way, where ever you live. Sometimes I feel best in something that’s not on trend or the must have item of the season - just a must have for me. At the end of that day that’s really what this blog is about for me - wearing what I want to wear and hopefully inspiring you to do the same.

WhatIWore: Wouldn’t it be amazing if the calendar flipped to spring and all of a sudden the weather followed suit? Thankfully we don’t have snow like the East Coast, but it’s been pretty hum drum rainy and cold here. I’d love to break out my spring dresses and skirts but I know there will be plenty of time in the coming months.

On the bright side, I haven’t been able to wear these jeans in over a year and I’m so excited to have them on! Flares seems to be a style that never goes completely out but aren’t the it style right now either. I like them because I think they’re super flattering and I’ve had this particular pair in my closet for years.

When: March 24, 2015

What:
Shades: Karen Walker ‘Super Duper’
Scarf: Target (last season)
Mint Sweater: J.Crew
White Moto Jacket: MICHAEL Michael Kors (similar)
Jeans: Earnest Sewn (older style)
Booties: L.L. Bean Signature
Bag: Lancel

Where: Breakfast with my boys, errands

Why: Outfit wise, I kept thinking back to these photos and decided to do the same mint and white pairing on top. I added in a spring scarf to pull it all together, although I wish I would have had a little more time this morning to think about accessories. C’est la vie of a mom, i guess.

MoM | Cloth Diapering with GroVia

GroVia 2015 prints, Astro, cloth diapers

WhatIWore: Big news today! Felix and I are so excited to debut one of the four new 2015 cloth diaper prints from GroVia before they launch to the public on Thursday!! We’ve been cloth diapering our babe for the past three months and in the process I’ve become obsessed (and I don’t use that word lightly!) with tracking down new prints and colors. I’ve even customized one of my favorite prints!

A couple of months ago, the GroVia team got in touch and asked if I’d be interested in selecting one of the new prints and styling it on Felix. Don’t ask me twice! I picked Astro, a blue based, dogs in space design! Isn’t it cute? And isn’t Felix cute wearing it!? I could just die editing these photos Adam and I took of our son. And I can’t wait until warmer weather so Felix can rock out his cloth diapers with just a tee shirt outside.

This print (along with the three other new designs) will be available this Thursday in Newborn All in Ones, One Size All in Ones (pictured here), Snap Shell and Hook and Loop Shell styles.

In fact, I’ll be giving away the GroVia Organic Cotton Live Package in all four prints, with winner’s choice of closure style (Snap or Hook/Loop) Thursday on my instagram! The Live Package contains 12 Shells, 24 Soaker Pads, and 4 Boosters.  Be sure to follow along there for the heads up!
