What I Wore | Berry Blues

WhatIWore: Ahhhh! Finally a sunny morning! I decided to make the most of it by doing a skirt instead of the jeans I’ve been wearing a lot of lately. Now that I’m only working out of the home three days a week I don’t dress up as much and that’s a shame! 

Ever since I got these berry colored booties I’ve wanted to pair them with (almost) matching tights. The colors aren’t exactly the same, but I think it’s close enough. I topped it off with one of my favorite hand knit hats (pattern available here) and went simple in the middle. This is the kind of outfit that makes me feel really confident and cool. I wish I could say I have the best self esteem without whatever I’m wearing, but it really does give me the extra push some days. Do what you gotta do, right?

What I Wore | Cinnamon Spice

         

WhatIWore: Happy Wednesday all! I just got Felix down for a nap so I’m going to post this without a lot of commentary - just a nice winter outfit with some new pieces I’m putting into rotation. This sweater has such a pretty warm cinnamony color (a little more rust than red) and I think it makes for a nice pair with navy, denim and a plaid scarf.

What I Wore | Merry Merry

WhatIWore: I feel like most of my wardrobe choices lately have gone in the way of neutrals but on a rainy day like today, I need something merry and bright to cheer me up! This is another sweater I scored at Old Navy when I was working on this post and I just love the colors and the supersized fair isle design. Some day I’m going to attempt to knit my own similar version (most likely in a thicker worsted weight wool) but for now, I’m happy with this cutie.

Inspired By | Choppy Bobs with Bangs

WhatIWore: I’m getting a haircut!!!! Say that like a wild woman/Flintstone voice. That’s how excited I am. For most salon trips I take a batch of photos to give my stylist a really clear picture of what I have in mind. This time I’ll be lightening things back up (I’m a blond in my mind’s eye) and going with a choppy chin length bob as I grow out my bangs (I think? I might still keep them sort of long and swide swept. Not sure). Stay tuned for the debut later this week!
