What I Wore | Twice as Nice

WhatIWore: I loved this look so much I wore it two days in a row! First - to teach my Fashion Illustration course on Monday and then again out and about on Tuesday. Nothing in this outfit is new, but it feels really fresh to me! A black circle skirt has been such a core basic for me - and same goes with the olive spring jacket (which I also wore in yesterday’s post). You’ve also seen me wear my taupe booties a lot lately too. If you love something - don’t be ashamed to wear it often!

What I Wore | Sunday Stripes

WhatIWore: Heres’s what I wore the other day out to lunch with my little family. It was one of those days when it was kinda sorta warm in the sun when the wind died down. Otherwise it was pretty chilly. We were hoping to have more time in the fresh air but a little is better than nothing!

What I Wore | Dressed for Spring

WhatIWore: I’m not one of those people that waits all the way until Memorial Day to start wearing white. It’s a spring time color in my book and I love this fit and flare knit white striped dress. For now, it needs layers and a light scarf, but I think it’ll look really chic this summer with flats and a straw fedora.

This spring and summer I’m really excited to wear as many full and flared skirts and dresses as possible! Last year when I was pregnant I was in such a style rut that I’m in full celebration mode now that I can wear the things I love most. It kind of goes to show you how much your clothes can empower you or bring you down. A new dress really can perk a girl up!

What I Wore | Vintage Modern

WhatIWore: The best way to sum up my personal style is probably vintage modern. I love vintage looking silhouettes, like this circle skirt, paired with current trends like my white moto jacket. I like how some styles of clothes really inform your mannerisms too. Whenever I’m in a skirt and heels I seem to be more graceful and ladylike.

Where: Lunch date sans baby with Adam!

Why: My inlaws were in town Friday so Adam and I had a chance to go on a little lunch date without Felix. I took the chance to wear something I wouldn’t normally go for if I had him around - a pair of my favorite heels. I love the leg lengthening effect of a nude heel and it’s been a long time since my feet fit into these. I really like the way this outfit came together and it makes me excited for the season ahead!
