WhatIWore: I knew when I bought this suitsuit it would be the perfect thing to throw on for running around. It’s been a little cooler lately, so I styled it with booties and a leather jacket. I also pulled the waistband up to my natural waist and sort of tucked the top underneath it. See how I wore it last time here

WhatIWore: Our weekend fun didn’t stop in Louisville, because on Saturday we drove up to Indianapolis to drop off Felix with the grandparents and have a day just as husband and wife. But before that, we took Felix to a little orchard east of town, where we had apple spiced donuts, checked out the green houses and did a little shopping in the farm store. It was really better for older kids, but we still enjoyed the drive through the country and our time there.

When: April 18, 2015

What:
Hat: Artikal (bought many years ago)
Shades: Old Navy
Tee: WHY Louisville
Belt: Vintage
Skirt: ModCloth (older style)
Bag: Coach
Sandals: Rockport, gift

Where: Hanging out in Indy for the day

The past two day’s outfits have been kind of similar, huh? The graphic tee + polka dot skirt is probably just as comfortable as it is cute and has a casual vibe working for it too. I loved this outfit and I can’t wait to wear this tee again (maybe with a lace skirt, sort of like this look?) Speaking of skirts, I’ve gotten a lot of milage out of this version. See other ways I’ve styled it here, here and here

WhatIWore: We had such a great weekend! Adam took a few days off and on Friday we drove south to Louisville for the day. I knew the weather would be nice, and I wanted to wear this polka dot skirt but wasn’t sure what top to pair with it. I thought a black tee could be cute and then I had the idea to wear a Paul McCartney tee I bought when we saw him in concert with Adam’s parents a few years ago. I love how it works together. Sort of weird but cute too! I kept my shoes simple (flat sandals) and also had a jean jacket for the cooler morning hours.

When: April 17, 2015

Tee: Paul McCartney concert (online here)

How Do You Feel About | Nicknames?

nicknames

Felix is playing on the floor, getting into something that’s not his toybox and I just called out “Outta there, dyngus!” which made me think of all the nicknames I use for him. I like to call him Felix Boy, Little Spooky, Spooky Boy, Scooby, Feelers and Flex. Not long ago I caught myself and thought, ewww, no! I don’t want his high school nickname to be Scooby! (or Spooky or Feelers, or any of them really!)

Do you call your kids by their given names or random things like me? Fur children apply too. I have a dozen nicknames for Raymond and Gizmo too.(Raybees, Baby Raybee, Little Boy and Mimi are some of my most used)
